Taskbar still showing in fullscreen windows 10

Still, another option that permanently fixes it would be even better. I thought I'd try here to see if anyone else knows a way to fix it for good.Įdit: I should have searched this reddit first, because I found another person had the same issue and found that pressing the Windows key on the keyboard twice, made it go to full screen. Searching online I see a lot of others have experienced this problem as well. The DPI option in the compatibility tab of the properties of the VLC exe file is another option I tried, but that also didn't work. It's a pretty bad work around for me (just need to turn off hangouts while i'm RDPing or using any full screen apps) but at least i can access the taskbar now. I've tried reinstalling, and that didn't work either. There must have been something in the Windows 10 Anniversary Update that's changed the way how the taskbar overlays work and so seems to be causing it. But it seems after some time, I need to do it again, even though I haven't restarted my computer. The only way I can get it to go away is to restart Windows Explorer from the task management section. When I try to watch a video in full screen, the Windows taskbar still shows at the bottom.

After that, you can check if the Windows 10 taskbar won’t hide in fullscreen issue is. Scroll down to find Windows Explorer app, right-click it and click Restart to Restart Windows Explorer. Click More details, and tap Process tab in Task Manager window. It started maybe a month ago out of nowhere. Right-click the taskbar, and choose Task Manager to open Task Manager app in Windows 10.
